Garmin 255w is a Great Buy

After reading the other reviews, I decided to buy a new Garmin 255w rather than used. My only previous experience with a GPS is the BMW installed GPS. For me, the Garmin is better. I do sales and I find the Garmin easy to understand, easy to see with a glance and easy to input addresses. I love the fact that I can convert to directions on foot for when I need to get around in SF and the battery lasts long enough that I can take it with me into other people’s cars without moving over the charger. The basic features are easy and obvious, but I keep finding new and interesting screens. I love this product.

Garmin 255w is Perfect for Our Needs

The Garmin Nuvi has proved to be perfect for our needs. It loads quickly, is easy to use and adjusts quickly to route changes (such as detours). I was initially concerned by the lack of operating instructions, but they are not needed. The operating menu is simple and logical. It is more responsive and easier to use than the OnStar system that came with our vehicles. We have since canceled the portion of our OnStar service that provides verbal directions and routes at a substantial savings.
